A day of Nature- Indoors

The kids had the day off from school for Veteran's Day so we spent the day in Mesa. We went to the Bass Pro Shop where they have tons of taxidermy animals and lots of nice aquariums to enjoy.

We think Grandpa Daniels would love to go fishing in these waters. Look how big the fish are!

They also a have shooting range that was fun for all of us.
There was a Christmas display with things for children to do and trains to watch.

Then we went to lunch with our friend, Pearl, at the Rainforest Cafe. It was a very entertaining place to eat with elephants, waterfalls, starry skies, thunderstorms, and monkeys hanging from the ceiling.
After running to the bookstore, we picked up our favorite Bahama Bucks snow cones to eat on the way home.
That night I went to a very nice dinner with my friends to "celebrate!?" our release from the Young Women's organization.
What a fun day. It's hard to get back into cleaning the house today.

Your day turned out much nicer than ours. We went to IHOP and Target and then had piano and flute lessons.
That Bass Pro Shop seems pretty cool.

Bass Pro Shops are cool.
The one in Dallas has a 18# large mouth bass in their aquarium. the Shreveport store has some huge blue catfish.
I have become a major fan of Gander Mountain stores. They have given me over $600 of free stuff - fishing tackle, clothes, boat supplies.

Interesting that your kids have the day off for Veteran's Day, all of our schools have special programs honoring our vets. Dad was invited to the Bloomburg School's program, and I went to the one at Queen City High because I was subbing. Ours was very good and made me cry. Kated said she cried at the Bloomburg program, too. But I like your way of celebrating best. It sounds like a great day was had by all. All three of the kids look very animated in that first photo. It's very cute.
