6 Things You Might Not Know About Me

My friend, Chanel tagged me to write about six things you might not know about me.

1. I chew on lollipops and ice cream instead of sucking or licking them.

2. I think a lot about death. I'm always thinking that someone I love is going to die and leave me, or that I am going to die and leave them. I always worry when Paul and I leave our kids that we will both die and they will be left trying to figure out what to do.

3. Over the last 3 years I have become very afraid of heights while I'm driving-particularly on bridges and overpasses. It is somewhat paralyzing. It bugs me because I never felt that way before and I don't know how to get rid of it.

4. I like equality or balance. For example, when I kiss Lily on one cheek, I always feel like I need to kiss the other side, too. I'm not compelled to do it, I just feel like I should. Like the other side of her face will feel left out if it is not kissed, too. I also like the same for me.

5. I have nightmares that my teeth fall out and I have quite a few other re-occurring nightmares that take place on a stage, at school, or in the Spanish language.

6. My house is usually quite messy, even though I hate it that way, and I always tell Paul that if I die he needs to clean the house before anyone comes over.

Wow, now that I type it all out I see that I have a lot of fears and that I fear the lack of control. Maybe I should see a therapist. Thanks, Chanel.
Now, I'm tagging anyone in my family that is brave enough to tell 6 things I might not know about you.

I love it. Thanks! I had to laugh about the heights thing. Everytime I drive on an overpass here I think of you telling me to be quite as you stiffly drove over the overpass on our way to have dinner with Meghan. I swear I laugh everytime. Nice that I find humor in your fears, but hey- what are friends for!

I'm pretty sure you already know everything about me. I remember you had to drive over the bridge from Vt to NY when we were last on a road trip. You sound a little OCD to me. Do you still roll white bread into tiny little balls?

You get the bridge thing from your mom. I am ok with it as long as there is a good amount of shoulder room--I hate driving with a barrier right next to my lane, even if I'm not on a bridge!

Thanks for laughing at me, Chanel. I laught at myself, too. I know it is crazy about the heights because like Deborah mentioned, I drove over this crazy scary bridge for her because she was too scared. That was 6or 7 years ago. Now I wouldn't be able to do it. Who know's how to get rid of it?

Oh, I don't roll white bread into little balls anymore. I don't eat white bread, so maybe that is why. I wouldn't have even remembered that.

I am so all over #6. I tell Brad we can't die as we leave the house because the house is too messy to have anyone see. I want a maid!!

My life is an open book.
Well you had me write all that stuff a few years ago and if you can find the book you have all the answers.
Acrophobia must be genetic. I had a terrrible problem with it until I got to be about 19 years old and then I defeated the problem by gradually working my way up a boiler at Knox Lee power plant. Your Mom has problems driving over bridges 10 feet high. This is not much encouragement because the older she gets the worse the problem.

I'm over most of mine. I still have a slight problem the first time I go over a bridge, but after that it's OK. Well, if it's not too high and more than one lane wide going in one direction. So, OK, maybe I'm not totally over it, but I am better. Give thanks to the casinos for that! Ha! I highly recommend it!
